With the rise of social media in this digitally advanced age, none of us are strangers to the perfectly planned, stunningly shot, and not-a-leaf-out-of-place weddings that fill our feeds to the brim.
We pine away dreaming of our most special day and put these insta-worthy celebrations on a pedestal, but we often forget that with the pampas grass and lace can also come drama, tears, and sometimes more debt than a present-day couple can handle.
Many have combatted this fate by eloping on the beaches of Cabo. Others have finally taken that trip to Las Vegas to dance the night away under the Eiffel Tower and say "I DO" in front an oddly appropriate Elvis. And for the more conscious couple, a private and love-filled visit to the local courthouse will do the trick.
But what if none of these options are your style?
Enter: Micro Weddings.
Micro Weddings are still a toddler in the world of wedlock, but they are making quite a splash. As the price of houses, schooling, and general expenses rise, a growing number of soon-to-be newlyweds are moving towards celebrations that require less planning, allow for a more limited budget, require fewer guests, and can put the focus back on the true matter at heart: Love.
This newer trend is a balanced mix of elopement, courthouse, and your standard family affair... Elegance, design, and intimacy -- none of the drama.
How do you know if a wedding in our Mini Wedding Series is right for you?
At the Mini Wedding Series, we believe in quality, not quantity. Many couples find that as their wedding day gets closer, the guest list grows longer. We often realize only after the fact that the number of guests does not a happy couple make (and we've all heard stories of nutty Cousin Margaret who always complains about the color of the serviettes).
Our intimate celebrations range from 4-25 guests and ensure that every person there is there to give full love and support to the happy couple...this is YOUR wedding day after all.
On that note, the time you spend with us is completely couple-focused. A smaller number of guests means you can focus on the task at hand (marrying the love of your life!) and not waste precious minutes on trivial wedding day stressors. With less guests to greet, you'll get more time savoring the moment, and your guests will feel special and appreciated while playing a part in your special day.
3. Unique Locations
Popular wedding venues can host events every weekend day from May to November. That is upwards of 52 weddings in one venue, sometimes housing up to 300 guests, and charging an average of about $16,000 a pop.
Because of the focus on tiny ceremonies, the Mini Wedding Series is able to scout out exciting, unique, and not often used locations and transform them into the atmosphere of your dreams. Your gorgeous photos (always shot by a favorited Seattle photographer) will be unlike the ones you've seen before, and you'll be excited to showcase them in your home or on social media.
4. Stress Free/Less Prep Time
We take care of the mess and stress so you can enjoy the process. We'll plan your day from design scheme, to set up, to "I Do," all you need to do is show up. These perfectly curated weddings will feature designers you adore, but without the preparation it usually takes to ensure a beautiful outcome.
At TMW we'll announce the date of our next seasonal offering and open the bookings to the public. With only 3 months of booking time before every series, couples who desire a shorter engagement or who are experiencing circumstances outside the wedding norm can still have a gorgeous and memorable wedding day.
5. Budget Conscious
According to the Brides 2018 American Wedding study, a wedding set a couple back $44,000 on average. While these weddings are surely beautiful, we are determined to offer an affordable option, with all the most important bits of a meaningful marriage celebration. We offer stunning design, a photographer, a legal ceremony, cake, a champagne toast, and extra time to get that perfect shot with Seattle as your backdrop, all bundled into one set price.
Even better? Perfectly located in the Downtown area, should you require more time (did someone say party?!) with your guests, you are only steps away from some of the best restaurants, bars, waterfront, and nightlife that the PNW has to offer.
Does this sound ideal to you? Drop us a line and let us know how we can help make your intimate and wallet-friendly dream wedding a reality!
